Wherever you travel in New Zealand, you have nothing to worry about. In case you are in need of any mechanical breakdown assistance simply freephone AA on 0800 500 222 with your vehicle registration number.
Please note that AA Roadside Assistance only covers mechanical breakdown, and relevant charges are applicable for non-mechanical breakdown. Please see below for more information.
AA Roadside Assistance Covers:
- Cooling faults
- Engine transmission
- Electrical faults
- Braking systems
- Vehicle recovery
All mechanical breakdowns are covered by Touchdown Car Rentals relevant AA Roadside Assistance programme.
AA Roadside Assistance DOES NOT Cover:
- Lockout/ lost keys
- Out of fuel
- Flat tyre/s
- Flat battery
- Car won’t start
All callouts deemed as non-mechanical will be subject to a charge ranging from $65-$140 inc. GST depending on the time and the geographic location of the callout.
Roadside Service includes:
- Testing battery and organising a replacement if necessary*
- Jump-starting vehicle
- Getting access to vehicle if locked out
- Changing wheel
- Free delivery of fuel (you pay for the fuel)
- Mechanical failure assistance
- Non-mechanical failure assistance (call out fee applicable)
- Tow to the nearest place of repair or safety
